About us

I would like to introduce myself briefly. My name is Marcus and I am a German in love with Argentina. Although I was born and raised in Germany, it’s been two decades since I made the decision to settle down in this beautiful South American country that captured my heart from the very first moment.

I remember my first visit to Argentina in the early 2000s like it was yesterday. Back then, as a young adventurer, I decided to go backpacking through South America. Although I had planned to visit several countries, I knew from the first moment I set foot on Argentinian soil that this place would be special to me.

There were many factors that made me fall in love with Argentina: its warm and welcoming people, its rich culture, its diverse natural landscapes and, of course, its incomparable gastronomy. I still remember with a smile the endless conversations with locals in bars and squares, over a good wine and a tasty asado. It was in these moments that I began to understand the true Argentine spirit.

After this first trip, I decided that Argentina would be my new home. After settling in the vibrant city of Buenos Aires, I gradually discovered every corner of this vast country. From the imposing peaks of the Andes to the vast plains of the Pampas, from the impressive glaciers of Patagonia to the vibrant jungles of the north – each region captivated me with its peculiarities and contrasts.

Over the years, my passion for traveling and exploring Argentina grew more and more. I began to organize excursions and tours to different tourist destinations, always keen to see new places and immerse myself in local traditions. This is how I ended up in the Argentinean region of Patagonia, home to the famous Perito Moreno Glacier and other spectacular natural landscapes.

Los Glaciares National Park, where the Perito Moreno is located, became one of my favorite destinations. Walking along the trails that line this imposing glacier and gazing at its 60-meter-high ice front, I was simply overwhelmed by the majesty of nature. I spent countless sunsets at the viewpoints, admiring how the last rays of sunlight colored the cracks and crevasses of the thousand-year-old ice in shades of orange.

It was precisely this deep connection with Argentinian Patagonia that inspired me to write this travel guide about the Perito Moreno Glacier and its surroundings. In these pages I share with you all my experiences and knowledge that I have gathered over the years of exploring this area.

My aim is to give you an authentic and passionate insight into this unique region of the world. This is not a simple tourist guide, but the account of an Argentina lover who wants you to experience all the charm and magic of these places.

Here you will find recommendations for the best hiking trails, the most spectacular viewpoints of the Perito Moreno Glacier, the unmissable excursions on the glacier ice and much more. But not only that, you will also learn about the culture and traditions of the Patagonian people, their gastronomic customs and their close relationship with nature.

I hope that this travel guide will not only serve as a practical tool to help you plan your trip, but also as a window into the essence of Argentine Patagonia. May these pages inspire you to explore, adventure and fall in love with this corner of the world, as I did two decades ago.

Welcome to my Argentina, the country that has captured my heart and that I am sure will capture yours.
